B&B Matakana

Blue Adventures offers kitesurfing, wakeboarding and SUP lessons, tours and retreats on the Matakana Coast. Free accommodation is offered as part of Blue Adventures watersport camps.

The famous Matakana Farmers Markets take place every Saturday from 8 am-1 pm and are well worth a visit.

The Matakana coastline is beautiful and there are plenty of great surf beaches close to our glamping tepees. The closest beach is Omaha beach, a 6 km long white sand beach which is easily reached within a 10 minute drive from our location. A little further along is Goat Island, New Zealand's first marine reserve, and Pakiri beach. Tawharanui regional park is also another great option.

Don't we all love a good glass of wine or craft beer! The Matakana wine country is famous for it's fabulous vineyards and breweries. A must visit is Brick Bay and the Sawmill Brewery.

Brick Bay is located at Snells beach, a 15 minute drive from our glamping accommodation. Brick Bay is famous for their Pinot Gris, Rose and Red blends. We recommend Brick Bay's wine tastings, food platters and sculpture trail.

The Sawmill Brewery, is a mere 2 km from Tepee and highly recommended. Their craft beers are excellent and the Smoko Room restaurant offers a great atmosphere and fantastic food. You can also join a brewery tour (bookings required).

If you are in need of some pampering or would like to join a yoga or pilates class, we recommend you check out Oasis studio in Point Wells or the the Tea and Tonic studio in Matakana.

Put your dancings shoes on for a great night at the mighty Mill. The Leigh Sawmill (not to be confused with the Sawmill brewery in Matakana) has a great gig line-up. The Leigh Sawmill is reached within a 10 minute drive from our glamping accommodation. Check out their Gig guide.

The Matakana Cinema is a boutique cinema in the heart of Matakana with three beautifully themed movie theatres.
